Poem To My Brain

Updated: Feb 20, 2021

You’ve never failed me

You have tried the best

To protect me and to fight

Through the shocks and hospital lights

We both know I share my brain with the others

Identity’s more confusing than apologies

But you help me fight

To know I now do right

To recognize that I can change my thoughts

That it’s neither my fault or yours that the others sometimes fester

But you, smart brain, we always stick together

You’re filled with emotion that spreads to my heart

This is now

A clean new start
